Come what may, and L O V E it

I am sure a lot of you have read this story, but for those of you who haven't, it is a MUST read. I was reminded of it when a girl from my hometown , who is courageously going through chemotherapy, posted it on her blog. It touched me so strongly that a young girl who is dealing with such a difficult trial, is so positive and optimistic.
Her blog is here

This story "Come what may and love it" has such inspiring, comforting words.
I truly think it can benefit all who reads it.
My wonderful husband is a great example to me of making the best of things and loving whatever hardships come his way, and most importantly-- learning to laugh in tough times :)

New office space!

For the last 15-or-so years, the company that I work for- Netdocuments- has been in the same building. This year was exciting for us because we made a big move up to Thanksgiving Park! My Aunt Marie and others did a FABULOUS job putting everything together.
Check out the before and after pics!

My weekend in Pictures

Ellie girl was with Ben this weekend, so Ryan & I, along with some friends drove up to the Uintas and went camping. We found this BEAUTIFUL spot by Wall Lake where we fished, slept under the stars, made a fire, and the guys went cliff jumping.
Good times with good people!

Saturday night, Ryan and I babysat the twins! James & Thea are doing so well, and growing so fast. They are now off of their oxygen and are so dang cute! On Sunday, we decided that we didn't get enough of them, so we begged their parents to babysit them again. We took them on a walk by the river. Baby Hungry much....?

a night with my little lady

This week Ryan has been taking a math course everynight, so Ellie & I have been having girls nights! Ellie is at such a fun age right now.. I love this little chica. We went to the library and I think I might make this a weekly thing. I love seeing Ellie so excited about books & reading! Renting new books everyday? Why not! It's freeeee

We borrowed my sister-in-law's bike that has a sweet Ibert bike seat on it, and cruised to the "candy store", then to a reception, finishing at the park. Ellie LOVED this bike seat! and I loved having her in front of me while I ride, instead of in a trailer behind me.
I definitely need to get me one of these!

the L O V E book

Ryan gave me this little red journal around the time we got married. We got this fabulous idea from our friends Nick & Jamie, and we wanted to make it one of our traditions!

This love book holds little notes to and from each other that we write whenever we feel like it. We just take turns writing little messages or memories to each other, then leave the book around the house or at each other's work, etc.
This is such a fun thing to do with your spouse because it's exciting to see the book in a new spot, because you know it has been written in :)

Cheesy? Maybe. Awesome? Definitely.

It makes my day reading little random notes from Ryan. It's also really nice having them all in the same book so that we can look back at past writings.
You should try it out with your spouse!

My weekend in Pictures

This last weekend was a good one!

On saturday morning, I ran the Provo River half marathon. My friend Jamie met up with me around mile 6 and ran a few miles with me, which was awesome!
I ended up beating my personal record, which is always a good feeling! woot.

Ryan left on Friday morning for a guys trip to California, and Ellie was with her dad for the weekend.
I could have stayed home and cleaned the house, or accomplished the many things that I need to accomplish before we move, but instead I decided to pack up last minute and cruise to Denver with my friend Michelle.
I love trips on a whim!

We camped the first night at a sweet spot a couple of hours away from Denver.

Dinner was tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, cooked in the coolest contraption I had ever seen. Definitely need to purchase one of these!

Sunday in Denver consisted of eating crepes, walking around downtown, and exploring the bookstore.
It was a PERFECT sunday.

Michelle is such a beaut!

Later that evening, we went on a hunt for a lake to go swimming in.
After a long search, we found one.

Monday morning, we wanted to squeeze in a hike before we went home.
We hiked up to the Golden Arch near Boulder, CO. It was beautiful!

The Michelle club had a BLAST and didn't want the trip to end... it was so refreshing to get away for a while and have no cares in the world. We already have a trip to Chicago planned for next month :)

I picked up my little Ellie Mae late last night, and couldn't stop holding & squeezing her tight. Oh, how I missed this little one!
With Ryan still out of town until tonight, I cuddled with Ellie all night in my bed last night.:)
She is growing up too fast!
