.post a photo and eleven random things about yourself
.answer the questions provided by the one who tagged you
.create eleven new questions for the people you tag

11 random things about me:

- I have a very large sweet tooth...but I can't eat chocolate if I don't have milk. It's a must!
-I LOVE being outdoors...instantly puts me in a good mood- I love to run, hike, bike, and camp.
-I miss high school sports more than anything.....
-I have long, skinny toes and fingers- and am just becoming somewhat secure about them.
-I have the most amazingly good looking husband in this world
-Celebrity tabloid magazines/E news is one of my many guilty pleasures....
- I am the least pickiest person I know when it comes to food.... I love anything and everything!
 especially Indian & Thai food.
-I tend to stress too much about things that don't matter...but I am working on it.
-I am slightly baby hungry.. Which is a problem.
-I might be a tiny bit addicted to Pinterest.

Aisha's Questions for me:

What is your dream career?
Either an interior designer or being able to work behind the scenes at fashion week

Chocolate or vanilla?
Chocolate!!! Ryan and I have this argument on a daily basis. So much, that when we lose a bet between each other, the other person has to eat the other flavor of ice cream. . .eating ice cream for punishment....? hhmmm.....

Do you have a pet? If you dont what would you have?
The only pet I have right now is a fish that I got Ellie for Christmas. Bad idea... buying a pet that you have to clean up their bowl every week and you can't even play with it! It just sits there.
Next pet purchase: a dog. no question.

Would you take a luxurious penthouse city apartment or ocean veiw cottage on the beach?
this is such a hard question for me.....because the beach is so relaxing and beautiful.....but honestly, (call me crazy) I think I would take a penthouse in the city. It would be amazing!! for so many reasons.

Whats your favorite chick flick? Why?
oh man. I am picky with my chick flicks. But I love Mean Girls, How to lose a guy in 10 days, and She's the Man. I like more of the funny type of chick flick rather than the sappy ones.

Heels or flats?
Wedges.

What would the events in your perfect day include?
I could be pretty inventive....but I will be realistic.
Sleep in, make a spinach smoothie, go on a hike with my two loves, bbq, shopping, then a bubble bath.

What in your opinion is your best quality?
ummm.... maybe that I am a good listener? is that lame? I hate these types of questions. ha

Do you experiece the envied runners high?
Yes I definitely have!! I have ran a bunch of races the past few years, and seriously CRAVE that runner's high that comes when you are regularly training. It is an amazing feeling.

Do you believe in soul mates or love at first sight?
Definitely soul mates. Everyone is meant for someone, and I believe that if we do what makes us happy in life and do everything that we can to become the people who we want to become, we will find our soul mates..... or they will find us.
Or.... maybe I was just lucky and found mine :)

What is your most treasured item? why?
The first thing that comes to mind is my wedding ring. I was fortunate enough to inherit the diamond from my mother's ring, and it reminds me every time I look at it what a beautiful, strong person she was.

People that I am tagging:

My Questions for you:

1. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
3. If you could have one day with no responsibilities, or anything on your agenda, describe what would be your ultimate day of relaxation--
4. What is your favorite nail polish color?
5. What is your favorite summer snack/treat?
6. What is your favorite blog to stalk?
7. Name one celebrity (dead or alive) that you would meet if you could.
8. Cats or Dogs?
9. What is a guilty pleasure that you have?
10. What is your dream car?
11. Silver or Gold jewelry?

Thanks Aisha! This was fun :)

our mexican honeymoon through a disposable camera lens. .

My amazingly, wonderful husband had a fun idea to buy a disposable camera for our honeymoon, because with all the camera phones, Instagramming, editing apps, etc. that goes on while taking pictures now-a-days, ...there is something exciting about taking pictures with a disposable camera, because you can't see how they turn out until you develop the film. I was stoked about the idea! Little did we know, that about half of the pictures on the roll wouldn't turn out. They were either too dark, or the people that we asked to take our pictures cut our heads off, or held their finger over the lens. hahah It was pretty funny getting them developed and realizing that a bunch of good pics were ruined! But luckily, we were able to laugh it off and truthfully be able to say, "what happened in Cabo, stayed in Cabo." It was worth it to have half of our pictures ruined, to have the suspense of waiting until we got home to see how the pictures turned out.

Here are some duds:
too dark....
heads cut off....
finger over lens....okay, that was my fault.

Here are some that did turn out:

sipping homemade pina coladas by the beach..mmmmm.....yes.

Snorkeling! We are hot.

We hiked to Lover's Beach. (that really is the name of it....coincidence?)

ahhh.... we finally arrived at Lover's Beach.

We rented a jet ski so that we could go see the famous Cabo arch! It was so fun zipping around huge Carnival cruise ships and having all the people wave at us from up there.

We hit up my FAVORITE Cabo restaurant, Mama's. It is a breakfast place with the most amazing cream cheese stuffed french toast with strawberries and carmelized nuts, insane eggs benedicts, and Ryan's favorite---- Chilaquiles. We had to make a second stop on our way home to the airport ;)
In my opinion, it really is the "best breakfast restaurant in the whole country"!

Ry & I were playing card games late one night, while sipping on "cold ones" (cream sodas) and he said that one time he was playing cards with a friend and acted like he knew how to pick out any card that his friend could name. His friend said a card, and Ryan pulled out that exact card, not meaning to actually get it right!

And so I told him that I could do the same....and Lo and behold, I pulled out the 2 of diamonds that Ryan chose. It was one of those -you-kind-of-had-to-be-there-to-think-it-was-funny type of moments, but it was hilarious. My success deserved to be chosen as one of the 27 precious pictures that our disposable camera could hold. :)

I did snap one photo on my phone....you know, just incase none of the pics turned out :)
My husband is so good looking! !

We had so much fun on our honeymoon! Reality definitely hit when we got home-- snow, school, work, toddler wakings at 4a.m., and empty fridges. :)  I am loving every minute of being married to Ryan-- he is the best husband in this world!!!

Music Monday- Joy

I think this song was made for me.... It describes everything that I am feeling right now. :) Joy Williams is the female singer in The Civil Wars band..and this song was one of her solo songs that she used to do before The Civil Wars became big. I love her!

I posted the lyrics underneath the video. Check 'em out.... quite possibly the sweetest song ever made.

Joy Williams- What Can I do (but love you)
Lyrics:

There you were and there I was
Was it fate from above?
Either way I found just what I need

All I do is think of you
Close my eyes and fall into
a world totally made for you and me

Oh don't you know, I love, love ya
I'll never let go, oh, i love ya
In all of my dreams, you're all I see
What can I do, but love you

Now I got someone to hold
To keep me warm while I was cold
A little scent to melt away the gray

It happened in the nick of time
Unexpected, sweet surprise
With one whose love will never be the same

Oh don't you know, I love, love ya
I'll never let go, oh, i love ya
In all of my dreams, you're all I see
What can I do, but love you

Oh don't you know, I love, love ya
I'll never let go, oh,i love ya
In all of my dreams, you're all I see
What can I do, but love you

Shout out to Kev-

I just wanted to spotlight my bitchin' new father-in-law for a moment..... (bitchin' is an accepted word in the Cope household, so forgive me if I offended anyone;)

Kevin is not only the coolest father-in-law in this world, but a very successful, hard-working business man. We love him!

He has spent the last few years writing his first book- and it was published recently! But the even bigger news is that just last week, it made the number 4 spot on the New York Times Best Sellers list! And it was also #1 on USA Today's best-seller's list last week. WOW!! What a huge accomplishment!!!

New York Time's Best Seller's list
I just had to point out that The Hunger Games was the #4 spot in it's category....
Yup, Kev is kind of a big deal. ;)
Congratulations to my amazing father-in-law!

You can read more about Kevin and his book HERE.

My dress was handmade by the wonderful Barbara Gant. I loved how it turned out! She made it exactly how I wanted it. Check out her blog HERE.
.
My headband was handmade by Courtney Prince out of L.A. She was so accommodating and friendly to work with! Check out her Etsy shop HERE.
.
My dress sash was made by my AMAZINGLY talented mother-in-law, Karen! I went with her to try on dresses at stores, and I fell in LOVE with this Modern Trousseau "Autumn" sash. But it was wwwaaayyyy too pricey. She bought some matching fabric and made me an IDENTICAL sash for a remarkably lower price. I love the sash that she made me way more than the one that I tried on...what an amazing keepsake to have--
Karen is so crafty and talented-- I am SO so blessed to have her as my mother-in-law!
.
My shoes were from Nordstrom- Steve Madden sparkle bow flats
.
Ryan's suit is from Zara
.
My beautiful bouquet was made by Holly Fowler. She is FABULOUS! Let me know if you want her contact information.
.
Our invitations were designed by my friend/co-worker, Kirsten Nielsen. She is a very talented graphic designer and they turned out fabulous!

Tomorrow is the Day!!

I can't believe that I am getting married to the man of my dreams tomorrow!! It seems surreal...

I got somewhat crafty with some wedding stuff-- I saw a picture on Pinterest of a chalkboard at a wedding and it was the cutest thing...so I decided to make my own! I bought a $5 wood board at Home Depot and painted it with chalkboard paint. I can't take all the credit though, my lovely co-worker Kirsten designed a graphic and I used a projector to put the image on to the chalkboard, then I traced it with chalk :) What do you think? I think it will look cool hanging on the old exposed brick wall of our reception place.

I decided to make my own boutonniers....with the help of my sister-in-law Jana.
I just wanted something different and unique for Ryan's groomsmen to wear, rather than the normal flower.
Burlap & lace are the details that I am using at my wedding-so I thought I would incorporate that into it-- What do you think?

I feel so blessed to marry this amazing man! He enriches my life so much and helps make me a better person. Tomorrow can't come fast enough!
